An Unauthorized Eleanor Wilner Reading at Estragon Tapas Bar

Estragon Tapas Bar will host a reading! Abigail Cahill, Lara Egger, Maya Phillips and JC Todd, who will read from their new works to benefit Friends of Writers MFA scholarships at Warren Wilson’s Program for Writers.

Maya Phillips was born and raised in New York. Maya received her BFA in writing, literature, and publishing with a concentration in poetry from Emerson College and her MFA in poetry from Warren Wilson’s MFA Program for Writers. Her poetry has appeared in At Length, BOAAT, Ghost Proposal, Hayden’s Ferry Review, The Rumpus, Vinyl, The Gettysburg Review, The Missouri Review, and The New York Times Magazine, among others, and her arts & entertainment journalism has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Vulture, Mashable, Slate, The Week, American Theatre, and more. She is the author of the poetry collection Erou (Four Way Books, 2019). A former content editor & producer at the Academy of American Poets, Maya currently works as a web producer at The New Yorker and as a freelance writer. She lives in Brooklyn.

J. C. Todd’s books are What Space This Body (Wind),Nightshade and Entering Pisces (Pine Press), and artist book collaborations, FUBAR and On Foot/By Hand (Lucia Press).A Pew Fellow and winner of the Rita Dove Poetry Prize, her poems have appeared in the American Poetry Review, Beloit Poetry Journal, Paris Review, Virginia QuarterlyReview, and others. A recipient of fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Baltic Centre for Writers and Translators, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and the Hambidge, Leeway, Ragdale, and Ucross Foundations, she has taught at Bryn Mawr College and for the MFA program at Rosemont and was a 2016 writer-in-residence at Humboldt University, Berlin.

Abigail Cahill is a writer based out of Rockport, MA. She is graduate of the Warren Wilson MFA Program for Writers, University of Massachusetts, Amherst and Trinity College, Dublin.

Lara Egger is an Australian native living in Boston. Her poems have appeared, or are soon to appear, in/on Verse Daily, New Ohio Review, Ninth Letter, RHINO, Salt Hill, Lake Effect, Free State Review, Grist, Barrow Street, and elsewhere.
