Bookbuilders of Boston is a nonprofit organization founded in 1937 dedicated to bringing together people involved in book publishing and manufacturing. Its membership represents all facets of the book industry: editing, design, production, manufacturing, and marketing.
The Bookbinders of Boston meet every month for a casual networking event. This month the meeting will be held upstairs at the Back Bay Social Club on Boylston St (Hynes stop on the Green Line).
Whether you are a writer wanting to dip a toe into the field, or an industry veteran, you are invited to join for relaxed conversation and drinks with members of the publishing industry.
Admission is free. Reservations are requested but not required. More details here.
Certain books were “banned in Boston” at least as far back as 1651, when one William Pynchon wrote a book criticizing Puritanism.
