TIMOTHY GAGER’s Dire Literary Reading Series

February 3, 2017 | 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

TIMOTHY GAGER’s Dire Literary series — now in it’s 16th year — is pleased to host local writers, LOUISE MILLER, WENDY MNOOKIN, and LOUIE CRONIN for a reading from their latest works. As always, the 7PM reading will be followed by an open mic. There are four open mic slots, with the sign up sheet starting at 6PM.

About the authors:

LOUISE MILLER is a pastry chef, author, and graduate of GrubStreet’s Novel Incubator Program. Her acclaimed debut novel, The City Baker’s Guide to Country Living (Penguin, 2016), tells the story about a big-city baker who discovers the true meaning of home in a small Vermont village.

WENDY MNOOKIN‘s most recent book, Dinner With Emerson, was published by Tiger Bark Press in 2016. She’s been featured on Garrison Keillor’s “The Writer’s Almanac” and on “Poetry Daily.” She received an NEA Fellowship in Poetry, and her book What He Took won the 2002 Sheila Motton Award from the New England Poetry Club. A graduate of Radcliffe College, she received her MFA in Writing from Vermont College of Fine Arts.

LOUIE CRONIN is a radio producer, audio engineer, and author of the novel Everyone Loves You Back, a coming-of-middle-age novel that explores the comedy and tragedy that occur when two competing classes collide. It’s set in Cambridge, Massachusetts, during the 90s boom years, when a tsunami of new money is pouring into the city and uprooting the middle and lower-middle class natives.
