An event every week that begins at 10:00am on Saturday, repeating until December 12, 2015

emersonWRITES offers free Creative Writing Courses to Boston Public High School students. Courses are taught by graduate students trained in Emerson College’s First-Year Writing Program. Students are offered courses in poetry, fiction, nonfiction, as well as multi-genre and multi-language courses. Courses are held on Saturdays from 10am-12pm, followed by an open-mic free lunch from 12-1, beginning Oct. 17 and ending December 12. Through the program, students can also participate in a publication workshop, attend plays and other campus events, and have access to college-preparation classes and discussions. Course work culminates in a final showcase event with a published guest author where students launch their anthology of finished work. Click here for registration! We look forward to writing with you!
