Lit Up Gala at Laugh Boston / 425 Summer St, Boston, MA

October 10, 2019 | 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm

$200

Leave the formal gowns and black ties at home and join us for a fun night out to support writers of all ages, backgrounds, and incomes.

Hosted by comedian Bethany Van Delft at Laugh Boston, Lit Up is GrubStreet’s annual fundraising gala and literary showcase to celebrate the written word and the transformative power of storytelling. This year’s event will highlight the incredible instructors at GrubStreet as well as the breadth of stunning creative work recently published by writers in our community. The evening will feature:

  • Cocktails with friends, Grubbies, and instructors
  • Laughs with stand-up comic and emcee Bethany Van Delft
  • Spitballing: a fun, free-association writing game
  • Raise the Paddle: fundraising to support access for low-income writers and writers of color
  • 6×2: six inspiring 2-minute performances from GrubStreet writers
  • Open bar and delicious food

We hope you can join us and help raise funds so that even more writers can access the mentorship and support they need to develop their craft and share their stories.
