Local author Michael Patrick Murphy visits More Than Words bookstore to talk about Neighborhood Lines, his novel based on racial divies and class conflicts of Boston in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s.
This event is free and open to the public. Neighborhood Lines will be available for purchase.
Since 2004, More Than Words has empowered youth ages 16-24 who are court-involved, in the foster care system, out-of-school or homeless to take charge of their lives by taking charge of a business.
Certain books were “banned in Boston” at least as far back as 1651, when one William Pynchon wrote a book criticizing Puritanism.
