Night in White

June 14, 2019 | 12:00 am

The Museum of African American History, Nantucket, is pleased to announce a Night in White, an event in Absence of Color, where cinema meets history and culture. This exclusive event will take place on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at The Nantucket Dreamland. The event will bring together actors, producers, celebrities, as well as philanthropists from the island, Boston, and across the country, to benefit the Museum’s Nantucket site. Enjoy a special night of history, culinary, and a behind the scenes conversation with Anthony Anderson, the star of the ABC hit TV Show, Black-ish, moderated by Kevin Flynn. Guests will enjoy inventive cuisine from the Nantucket Catering Company, an exclusive live auction featuring luxury experiences, and dancing with musical beats by The Hess Twins.

Be a part of this historic endeavor that will impact Nantucket for generations to come. Support the rehabilitation of this historic site and the reclamation of the vital role African Americans on the island of Nantucket have played here and in American history. The Museum of African American History’s campus at Five Corners represents more than 240 years of Nantucket history. Our comprehensive restoration project is a unique opportunity to preserve one of the oldest free African American sites in the United States. These structures are inspiring places where people worshipped, educated their children, and debated the political issues of the day, abolition and school integration.
