The Roundtable at Porter Square Books

Porter Square Books and Salamander are please to host Joan Wickersham and Sonya Larson for a reading from their latest works.

Joan Wickersham is the author of The News from Spain: Seven Variations on a Love Story (Knopf 2012). Her memoir The Suicide Index: Putting My Father’s Death in Order (Harcourt 2008) was a National Book Award Finalist. Her fiction has appeared in Agni, Glimmer TrainThe Hudson ReviewPloughshares, Story, and has been published in The Best American Short Stories. She has received the Ploughshares Cohen Award for Best Short Story, as well as grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the MacDowell Colony, and Yaddo.

Sonya Larson’s fiction and nonfiction have appeared in the American Literary Review, American Short Fiction, Poets & Writers, Audible.comWest Branch, Salamander, Del Sol Review and others, and have been honored by Best American Short Stories 2015, the Vermont Studio Center, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference. She works at GrubStreet.
