SARAH PRAGER: Queer, There, & Everywhere: 23 People Who Changed the World

May 22, 2017 | 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

World history has been made by countless lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer individuals-and you’ve never heard of many of them. Sarah delves deep into the lives of 23 people who fought, created, and loved on their own terms. From high-profile figures like Abraham Lincoln and Eleanor Roosevelt to the trailblazing gender-ambiguous Queen of Sweden and a bisexual blues singer who didn’t make it into your history books, these astonishing true stories uncover a rich queer heritage that encompasses every culture, in every era.

SARAH PRAGER is an advocate for queer history education particularly for youth. In 2013, Sarah created Quist, a free app for iOS, Android, and Windows that brings LGBTQ and HIV history to life with a following of over 35,000 from over 100 countries. She lives with her wife, their daughter, and three cats in Wallingford, CT.
