Summer Teen Fellow Reading at the Boston Athaneum

July 28, 2016 | 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join GrubStreet and the Boston Athenæum for a special reading featuring GrubStreet’s 2016 Young Adult Writers Program (YAWP) Summer Teen Fellows.

Each year, GrubStreet’s Summer Teen Fellowship immerses high school students in the writer’s life of creative craft and publishing. During three weeks at GrubStreet, teens work with published authors on original prose and poetry, meet with literary agents and editors, take field trips to inspirational locales, and more. In the spirit of writers’ residencies for adults, all teens receive stipends for their commitment to the program and their time spent as working writers. On the final evening of the fellowship, the teen fellows read their work as part of a celebration of their huge accomplishments.
