Vino & Verse: A Valentine’s Open Mic at the Boston Public Library

February 8, 2018 | 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$10

In honor of Valentine’s Day, local poets KURT KLOPMEIER and KRYSTEN HILL are hosting an open mic of love-themed poetry for the in-love, lovesick, lovelorn, and forlorn! In partnership with Mass Poetry, we’re inviting all poetry fans to bring a favorite poem about the effects of Cupid’s arrow, either pleasurable or painful.

Fortify yourself with a glass of liquid courage, and give a recitation to a crowd of fellow lovers of vino and verse, who’ll be there to cheer you on. Whether you elect to read a poem you’ve written or one by Christina Rossetti or Lauryn Hill, The Beatles or Derek Walcott, don’t worry; we won’t judge. Just bring your chosen poem and join in the love and fun!

Your ticket ($10) includes a free drink. Wine of all varieties will be plentiful, as well as a broad selection of craft beers, house-made sodas, and barista beverages. Guests will also recieve a snack bag with their purchase, with further food available to order at the counter.

Valid ID required for purchase of alcohol.
