The Writers’ Room of Boston, in partnership with City Year Boston, announces their first-ever LIT SLAM, Tuesday, September 19 at 6:30pm. Join them at City’s Year’s headquarters, 287 Columbus Avenue in the South End, for an evening of true stories and tall tales on the THEME OF LESSONS FROM SCHOOL. Members of both organizations will take the spotlight for 3 MINUTES each and share the most important lesson they ever learned in school.
The general public is warmly invited to attend. Free refreshments will be available afterward, so guests can mingle with Writer’s Room and City Year folks!
Certain books were “banned in Boston” at least as far back as 1651, when one William Pynchon wrote a book criticizing Puritanism.
