“Get Lit After Work” With David Gullette

August 18, 2016 | 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Boston Literary District hosts the final installment of “Get Lit After Work,” our pop-up literary biergarten, in front of the Cheers bar in the Faneuil Hall Marketplace with poet/performer David Gullette.

David Gullette is the Literary Director of the Poet’s Theatre in Boston and has been a fixture on the Boston theater scene for almost 50 years. He’s a Professor of English at Simmons College in Boston, has published translations of poetry, drama and prose from the Italian and the Spanish, and has written two books about revolutionary Nicaraguan poetry.

In honor of one of summer’s great pastimes, Gullette will perform an evening of fishing-inspired verse and prose from Elizabeth Bishop, Henry David Thoreau, and Billy Collins, among others.
