The 2nd Annual Boston Lit Crawl

On the eve of the Boston Book Festival, come celebrate the city’s literary past, present and future at the 2nd Annual Boston Lit Crawl, a night of literary merry-making in Boston’s Literary District. From 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., intrepid readers will choose from a variety of unique performances and literary events all in surprising venues from cafes and art galleries to barbershops and shoe stores. This moveable feast – all along Newbury Street – is FREE, and most of the events will offer beer and wine.

Hosted by the Boston Literary District as a prelude to the Boston Book Festival, with the support of the Litquake Foundation and the Boston Improvement District, Lit Crawl Boston will convene some of Boston’s most creative minds to raise a glass or two to the magic of the written and spoken word. The event will feature appearances by many of Boston’s rock-star writers, including TOM PERROTTA, REGIE GIBSON, and NICK FLYNN, and offbeat tributes to literary idols such as JAMES JOYCE and EDGAR ALLAN POE.

Program hosts are set to include a who’s who of Boston’s literary community, including GrubStreet, MassLEAP, 826 Boston and Ploughshares. At Lit Crawl Boston, we’ll serve up authors you can’t wait to read and social and literary interactions you won’t soon forget.

Come thirsty. We’ll feed your mind.
