The World Premiere of Thornton Wilder’s entire one-act play cycle about the variety and consequences of human frailty.

The Suffolk University Theatre Department presents the world premiere of Thornton Wilder’s complete one-act play series – The Seven Deadly Sins – at the Modern Theatre. Professor Wesley Savick, Suffolk University student Micaleen Rodgers, and Suffolk alumna Sydney Grant share directing responsibilities. Wilder’s ambitious 7 one-act play cycle features 28 characters located in 7 distinct locations set within 7 distinct time periods.

Peter Fallon and David Ferry at Suffolk University

Please join the Suffolk University English Department for a reading featuring Peter Fallon and David Ferry on Tuesday, November 27^th, at 7:00pm in The Poetry Center (Mildred Sawyer Library, 73 Tremont Street, Boston, MA).

Peter Fallon will read from his new translations of Hesiod’s Greek epic poem, Deeds and their Days, and David Ferry will read from his recent translations of the Roman epic, Virgil’s Aeneid.

A discussion on translation will follow the reading.

Salamander: 25th Anniversary Celebration and Reading

Join Salamander as the magazine celebrates its 25^th anniversary on the evening of March 1 from 6-8 p.m. The celebration, which will take place at the Suffolk Poetry Center (Mildred F. Sawyer Library, 3^rd floor) includes a gathering and a reading that will feature memoirist JANE BROX, poet ANDREA COHEN, and poet NATALIE SHAPERO.
