Always wishing you had more time to read? Trying to meet more bookish folks? Then Silent Book Club is perfect for you! Treat yourself once a month to a night of reading and friendship. It’s a great way to practice self-care during the week, meet new people, and find great book recommendations. The book is not assigned; just bring the one you are currently reading and dive in!
At the beginning of each meeting, there will be a 30 minute period to order food/drinks and mingle, followed by an hour of silent reading, and concluding with a half hour of more socializing and wrap-up.
To participate, we’re charging $5, but it is a voucher you will use toward food and drink during the event. We will take $5 off of your bill when you check out, and if your food/drink order ends up being less than $5, you’ll just be charged for the ticket voucher!
We look forward to meeting our fellow book lovers!
Certain books were “banned in Boston” at least as far back as 1651, when one William Pynchon wrote a book criticizing Puritanism.
