Boston’s Twentieth-Century Bicycling Renaissance shares the stories of cycling hobbyists, racers, commuters, bike builders, and others who participated in the resurgence of bicycling in Boston in the 20th century.

Author Lorenz J. Finison is a public health consultant and bicycling historian who has taught at several area universities. He is also the author of the 2014 book Boston’s Cycling Craze, 1880-1900: A Story of Race, Sport, and Society.

Copies of both of Dr. Finison’s books will be available for purchase (cash or check) and signing at the end of the event.
