Embattled Farmers: Revolutionary Soldiers from Lincoln, MA Co-sponsored by Old North Church

April 28, 2015 | 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

free

In his meticulously researched and award-winning book, Embattled Farmers, Richard Wiggin has documented the diverse experiences of 256 ordinary men from one Massachusetts town who served on both sides of the Revolutionary War.

In this lecture, Mr. Wiggin will discuss the perspectives of these men themselves – farmers, merchants, African-American slaves and others who held a variety of military positions – and the stories that give a human face to the War of Independence. Book sales and signing will follow the lecture.

This program is made possible with funding from the Lowell Institute. FREE and open to the public, pre-registration requested at http://osmhapril28-15.bpt.me
