First Annual South End Authors Book Festival

November 16, 2015 | 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

From Mel King to Stephen Kinzer, Russ Lopez to Lynne Potts, Gary Bratsos to Blackfoot Warrior, Jean Gibran to Philip Gambone, more than 20 authors of the South End old and new are coming together to celebrate their creations.

The First Annual South End Authors’ Book Festival will be held at United South End Settlements’ Harriet Tubman House, 566 Columbus Avenue, on Monday, November 16 from 3:30 to 8:00. The event will feature a chance to meet the neighborhood’s rich diversity of authors and to mingle with like-minded lovers of books. There will be ample opportunity to purchase copies of books both about the South End and by South End authors.

Longtime community activist and author Mel King said, “I am proud of the multiplicity of voices in the South End.” Mel will be there to talk about his latest book, Love is the Answer.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact Evan Gray ategray@uses.org or (617) 536-8108.
