Literary Lunch Break at Faneuil Hall Marketplace: Kirk Etherton and Lucy Holstedt

June 25, 2015 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Free

Kirk Etherton won the 2009 Ibbetson Street Poetry Award for “Georgia, 1963,” which deals with his aunt’s Civil Rights Work. Lucy Holstedt’s “The Waves” was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2014. She’s also a professor of music and composer at Berklee College of Music. Join her and Etherton (her husband, whom she met at Park Street Station while waiting for a train) reciting, singing, dancing to poetry, and being all-around entertaining as the first-up in the Lit District’s Literary Lunch Break summer series at Faneuil Hall. The duo, both on the board of the Boston National Poetry Month Festival, have performed at venues ranging from Improv Boston to the BPL and the Cambridge Multicultural Center.
