Poe Lives!

October 27, 2016 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

You’re invited to join an outdoor talk and informal discussion with Dan Currie, founding president of the Edgar Allan Poe Foundation of Boston, presented by Poe Boston, and by Joseph Ramsey, Ph.D., a professor of English and American Studies at UMass-Boston.

Local historian and Boston public art advocate Dan Currie explains why –contrary to popular opinion–the mysterious Edgar Allan Poe did not hate Boston. Currie exposes this mischaracterization–perhaps Poe’s greatest hoax–in a fresh appreciation of the city, and its new statue of the Boston-born writer. Poe lives!
