Pulitzer Prize-Winning Poet Rita Dove reads with BU alum Duy Doan

The Robert Lowell Memorial Reading Series is pleased to welcome Pulitzer Prize-winner and former Poet Laureate Rita Dove as she reads from her work, joined by BU alum Duy Doan and Robert Pinsky.
This reading will be followed by a book signing and a dessert reception.
Rita Dove is the author of numerous books, most recently Collected Poems 1974-2004 (W.W. Norton, 2016) and Sonata Mulattica (2009). In 2011 she published The Penguin Anthology of 20th Century American Poetry. Recipient of the 1987 Pulitzer Prize in poetry, she served as U.S. Poet Laureate from 1993-95. Among her many honors are the National Humanities Medal from President Clinton and the National Medal of Arts from President Obama.
Duy Doan is the Director of the Favorite Poem Project. A Kundiman Fellow, he holds an MFA in Poetry from Boston University. His poetry has appeared in SlateThe Cortland Review, and elsewhere.
