Soon To Be a Major Motion Picture: Authors Discuss Journey from Page to Screen

March 31, 2016 | 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$15

Join a joint production of the Boston Literary District and the Boston Center for Adult Education for a fascinating discussion with three local authors about the highs and lows of seeing their books interpreted for the big screen. Dick Lehr is coauthor of the bestselling book Black Mass: Whitey Bulger, the FBI and a Devil’s Deal which became a hit film with Johnny Depp last fall. Mitchell Zuckoff’s 13 Hours: The Inside Account of What Really Happened in Benghazi created a lot of buzz when it premiered in January as one of the first big film releases of 2016. And Annie Weatherwax’s debut novel All We Had will mark the film directorial debut of its star Katie Holmes when the mother-daughter drama is released later this year. This special event will be moderated by Lit District Coordinator Larry Lindner moderates. An informal wine and cheese reception with the authors will follow the discussion.
