Nicolette Nordin Heavey:
A world traveller from a young age (thanks to an English mum, Swedish father and General Motors) Nicolette Nordin Heavey is most often found beguiling youngsters in preschools, schools and libraries with folktales. Her storytelling lesson plans unlock curriculum, stimulate curiosity, and enhancing learning retention. Most importantly, the kids have FUN learning!
The experiences, settings, characters and accents of her youth pepper both her stories for children and adults. She believes every dysfunction has a humorous side and a lesson to teach.
Nicolette founded Stories in the Streets to bring the joy of stories and storytelling into public places with a focus on disadvantaged communities.
